Choi Chan-sik, pen name Haedongchoin, was a Korean new-style fiction writer of the Korean Empire and colonial period. He worked in the formation of modern Korean fiction through works such as Autumn Moonlight, Geumgangmun, Anui Seong, and Chunmong.
Activity
Educated in new learning at Hanseong Middle School, he helped open the field of sinsoseol through translation and original fiction. His works connected popular narrative and modern novel form in the 1910s.
