Terms of service

Check the account, payment, content rights, prohibited conduct, and use restriction rules for Omnilude Web Novel, File Viewer, Story Quiz, Mystery, and Studio.

Nature and priority of these terms

This document explains rights, duties, responsibilities, and restriction standards for using Omnilude. If it conflicts with the official terms, privacy policy, feature notices, or applicable law, the official terms and law control.

By accessing or using the service, the user is deemed to agree to this guide, the official terms, the privacy policy, and each feature notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by mandatory law, the operator limits warranties and liability related to the service, content, user materials, and third-party materials.

Work rights and permitted use

The fact that a work can be viewed through the service does not grant ownership, reproduction rights, distribution rights, transmission rights, derivative work rights, or commercial use rights.

Work information, provider labels, and rights notices are provided for convenience. The operator does not warrant the legality, completeness, freshness, or continued availability of all rights information or works.

If there is a rights-holder report, legal request, suspected policy violation, or operational need, the operator may suspend exposure, remove content, restrict access, or limit use without prior notice.

User rights checks and responsibility

Rights warrantyThe user warrants that all materials entered, uploaded, stored, viewed, generated, processed by AI, shared, or published through the service were created by the user, lawfully obtained, or covered by the required permission and license.
Prohibited materialsUnauthorized copies, illegally shared copies, leaked works, DRM-circumvention materials, unpublished third-party manuscripts, materials with unclear rights, and materials used for training, analysis, or transformation without permission are prohibited.
Full responsibilityThe user bears responsibility for infringement, disputes, claims, losses, costs, and sanctions arising from user materials or user conduct. If the operator suffers loss or receives a claim, the user must defend, indemnify, and hold the operator harmless to the extent permitted by law.
Duty to verifyBefore reading a work or opening a file, the user must verify their own authority to use that material. The operator does not perform the user's rights checks.
Private material reviewThe operator does not generally monitor private local files or personal library materials, but may review or take action if there is a report, legal request, public publication, AI processing, security risk, or sign of abuse.

Local file processing and copyright responsibility

File Viewer is designed so that, in the ordinary reading flow, a local file selected by the user is not uploaded to the server or publicly published. This structure helps prevent the service server from storing or distributing the user's local source text.

However, the fact that a file is not uploaded to the server does not remove the user's copyright responsibility. Possessing, viewing, converting, summarizing, analyzing, transforming, or sending an infringing copy through another feature remains entirely the user's responsibility.

Browsers, devices, operating systems, extensions, backup tools, sync tools, and capture tools may store local files or reading information separately. Users must manage their own devices and browser storage.

Prohibited conduct

Rights infringementConduct that infringes, induces, assists, or conceals infringement of another person's copyrights, trademarks, likeness rights, personal information, trade secrets, or contractual rights is prohibited.
Service abuseScraping, crawling, automation, bulk requests, bypass access, reverse engineering, vulnerability probing, abnormal traffic, and circumvention of ads, billing, or access limits are prohibited.
Operational interferenceConduct that harms or may harm service stability, security, settlement, advertising, recommendations, analytics, or other users' experience is prohibited.
Illegal or harmful useUse related to illegal conduct, fraud, defamation, harassment, hate, sexual exploitation, minor-safety violations, malware, phishing, or illegal transactions is prohibited.

Actions against service abuse

If there is a terms violation, suspected violation, report, rights-holder request, legal request, security risk, payment risk, repeated complaint, or sign of service abuse, the operator may take necessary action without prior notice.

Measures may include warnings, content deletion, exposure suspension, feature limits, restrictions on reading, uploads, generation, payments, or community use, session termination, account restriction, device, browser, IP, or payment method blocking, and limits on re-registration or future use.

Uploading, distributing, publicly publishing, or processing copyright-infringing or illegal materials through AI may result in account restriction or termination.

Restrictions may be temporary or permanent. If violations repeat, circumvention is attempted, or rights, security, or operational risks are serious, the operator may apply a permanent restriction immediately.

After a restriction, except where required by law, the operator may refuse data restoration, compensation, refunds, damages, or preservation of use opportunities.

Service changes and liability limits

The service is provided as-is and as available. The operator works to provide the service reliably, but does not warrant uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, profitability, non-infringement, or the accuracy or completeness of content.

Features, content, prices, ads, recommendations, exposure methods, and policies may be changed, suspended, or terminated. Features provided without payment, trial features, and local-storage-based features may change without notice or lose data.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, special, punitive, consequential, business, data, opportunity, or third-party dispute damages.

These liability limits do not apply to the operator's intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes to terms

Terms and policies may change according to applicable law, service structure, rights-protection needs, security risks, and operational policy. Important changes will be announced with the effective date and reason where reasonably possible.

Continuing to use the service after changes may be treated as agreement to the changed terms and policies. Users who do not agree must stop using the service.
